Housing Inspections

Matawa staff inspects new and existing housing through the member First Nations communities. Inspection primarily takes place at various stages of home construction.

Matawa staff provides technical advisory and training services to housing authority and local government personnel regarding the many aspects of the housing authorities located within the Matawa First Nation communities. The primary role of the Housing Authority Trainer is to develop new, and work with existing housing authorities, providing advisory service in relation to; policies, contracts, lease agreements, etc. Assist in the development and submission of housing proposals, as well as administering CMHC housing programs.
