Matawa Non-Profit Housing Corporation is a social housing provider currently with four 2-bedroom and eight 3-bedroom semi-detached homes (with one modified for special needs), in our Thunder Bay housing portfolio. Our units are available to eligible families with low or modest incomes.
HOW TO APPLY FOR SOCIAL HOUSING IN THUNDER BAY
For information about or to apply for social housing not only with Matawa but also a number of other housing providers in Thunder Bay, you must contact/apply to the Thunder Bay District Social Services and Administration Board (TB DSSAB) as they provide the funding subsidies for our rent-geared-to-income housing units.

Please note that Matawa cannot directly accept and process your application and you are encouraged to call the Central Housing Registry prior to submitting your application to ensure it is complete. The Central Housing Registry places eligible applicants on a wait list that is used by Matawa and other social housing providers as units become vacant.
