Programs

Transitional & Housing Support Program (Violence Against Women) Matawa First Nations services provide:

  1. Support to women & their children
  2. Referral services for the women & their children
  3. Family violence prevention & awareness programs
  4. On-going healing programs for women & their children

The primary role of Matawa Health Services is to network with other community support front line workers and create community awareness and education on Family Violence. We also will help women to develop transitional and safety plans while assisting in carrying out these plans by providing basic counselling and referrals to emergency shelters when required.

Program is funded by: Ministry of Community, Family & Children Services Violence Against Individuals.
