The Finance & Administration Department manages and directs all aspects of the business and financial affairs of Matawa First Nations on a daily basis. This includes managing human resources, policies and procedures, financial resources, and the corporate, legal and contractual obligations of the organization.

Our Administrative staff works directly under Chief Executive Officer, David Paul Achneepineskum, to provide support services to all Matawa departments and First Nations. We centralize and coordinate the appropriate recording and reporting of Matawa operations and business affairs.

Through our Finance office, we provide fiscal support services to all Matawa departments and programs. The role involves managing the development and analysis of annual budgets, the processing of all financial transactions, payroll documents, and an annual independent audit. Our responsibility is the provision of administrative and financial support services to all Matawa First Nations staff so that they may deliver the best possible support and advisory services to the member communities.
