KIIKENOMAGA KIKENJIGEWEN EMPLOYMENT & TRAINING (KKETS) TO HOST GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION
THUNDER BAY, ON — Kiikenomaga Kikenjigewen Employment & Training Services (KKETS) will host a media event tomorrow at the Matawa Wellness and Training Centre (MWTC) in the traditional territory of Fort William First Nation. The grand opening celebration marks an official move to new learning areas in the KKETS section of the MWTC that includes a Resource Room for clients, KKETS Adult Education Classrooms, and a Driver Education Simulator Room and Classroom.
On the event, David Neegan, Executive Director, said: “This grand opening marks a new beginning — a place where learning, capacity building and training meet healing, and where purpose meets possibility. At KKETS, we believe that through mindfulness and well-being, we support our cultural strengths, and inclusive employment, training and education, our people will rise — ready, resilient, and rooted—to shape futures grounded in long-term, meaningful employment for generations to come.”
