Finance and Administration
Matawa Finance & Administration manages and directs all aspects of the business and financial affairs of Matawa First Nations Management (MFNM) on a daily basis. This includes managing human resources, policies and procedures, financial resources, and the corporate/legal/contractual obligations of the corporation in a manner consistent with government guidelines, regulations and all relevant legislation.
It centralizes and coordinates appropriate recording and reporting of Matawa operations and business affairs. In providing fiscal support to MFNM departments and programs, Finance & Administration manages the development and analysis of annual budgets, the processing of all financial transactions, payroll documents, and an annual independent audit.
Matawa Finance & Administration provides administrative and financial support services to First Nations in the Matawa region where requested. It also ensures that MFNM remains transparent and accountable to our First Nations. The annual consolidated audit is presented publicly each year at the Matawa Annual General Meeting and is available on the Matawa website.
