MATAWA EDUCATION & CARE CENTRE HOSTS GRADUATION OF 13TH COHORT
THUNDER BAY, ON: The Matawa Education an Care Centre (MECC) will be hosting a graduation ceremony that will include a luncheon, convocation and awards for students successfully obtaining their Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
Families of graduates, MECC partners, representatives, and other dignitaries have been invited. Lashaunda Waswa will be MECC’s 2023 graduating class valedictorian and Head Teacher Samantha Renaud will be the Master of Ceremony.
The Jordan Wabasse Memorial Awards and Achieving the Dream Through Education Awards and Bursaries will be presented. MECC Elders, Interim Principal Jacqueline Carrier, Partnerships Development Administrator Brad Battiston and Vice-Principal Nick Shaver will be on hand to provide comments along with Sharon Nate, Matawa Education Authority Executive Director.
Members of the media are cordially invited to attend.
