THUNDER BAY INDIGENOUS FRIENDSHIP CENTRE, MATAWA FIRST NATIONS AND LAKEHEAD PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO CELEBRATE COMPLETION OF SECOND TINY HOME AS PART OF KZ LODGE INDIGENOUS SKILLS TRADES TRAINING PROGRAM
Tiny homes built by students being sent to Matawa First Nations communities as part of collaborative effort to foster cultural learning and building lifelong skills while building housing.
WHAT: Tour the second completed tiny home that the students have built as part of KZ Lodge, the Indigenous Skills Trades Training Program at Hammarskjold High School.
The event will celebrate the youth and staff involved as well as the importance of key partnerships that have created a positive force for change in communities across Northwestern Ontario.
WHERE: Hammarskjold High School, 80 Clarkson Street South, Thunder Bay, ON P7B 4W8
WHEN: Friday, February 16, 2024, 1:00pm – 2:00pm
