KIIKENOMAGA KIKENJIGEWEN EMPLOYMENT & TRAINING SERVICES (KKETS) STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN ORANGE SHIRT DAY ACKNOWLEDGING RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL LEGACY

THUNDER BAY, ON – Kiikenomaga Kikenjigewen Employment & Training Services (KKETS) Aboriginal Skills Advancement Program (ASAP) will host an Orange Shirt Day Walk on September 28, 2018 in Thunder Bay in the traditional territory of Fort William First Nation to acknowledge the legacy of Indian Residential Schools.

KKETS teachers and staff will be joined by approximately 81 students of the ASAP program. The Walk is part of a class students undergo as part of their studies. This will be the first time the ASAP program has assembled students in this kind of Walk.

Members of the media are cordially invited to attend.

Date: Friday, September 28, 2018
Route: Starting from Van Norman Street, to Algoma Street, to John Street, to Court Street, and ending at the KKETS office at 28 North Cumberland Street
