LOCAL EMPLOYMENT PLANNING COUNCIL and KIIKENOMAGA KIKENJIGEWEN EMPLOYMENT & TRAINING SERVICES COMPLETE NEW DRIVER’S LICENSING PROJECT FOR REMOTE MATAWA FIRST NATIONS

THUNDER BAY, ON: Members of the media are cordially invited to attend an event today organized by the Local Employment Planning Council (LEPC) and Kikenjigewen Employment & Training Services (KKETS) announcing the completion of the New Drivers Licensing Project for members of communities of Eabametoong, Nibinamik, Neskantaga, Marten Falls and Webequie First Nations.

The project began on February 6, 2017 and was aimed at assisting trainees’ ability to connect to employment opportunities as a result of the lack of Ontario government DriveTest services in their communities. It assisted 27 trainees in obtaining their G1 license.

Project graduates and organizers will be present.
