Communications
The Matawa Communications team helps keep our communities connected and informed. We provide support and advice to the Matawa Chiefs Council, the CEO’s office, and all departments, services, and corporations under Matawa First Nations Management. We also help communities with communications requests, such as:
-
Media support – preparing media advisories, press releases, and public announcements
-
Promotional materials – creating brochures, posters, reports, and other info you can share
-
Branding – keeping Matawa’s visual identity consistent across all platforms
-
Website and portals – updating the website, cultural portal, and intranet
-
Social media – posting updates, sharing news, and keeping the conversation going
-
Radio and PA support – broadcasting, recording, and announcements
-
Translation – translating messages for clear and culturally appropriate communication
-
Quality assurance – checking that all materials are accurate and professional
We keep Matawa First Nations informed on issues that matter and we share this information in many ways: print, email, social media, radio, and on our website.
You can find us on Facebook, X, and Flickr, where we share updates, highlight programs and services, and encourage everyone to connect and engage. Our goal is to raise awareness about the priorities and issues of Matawa First Nations Peoples and help our communities stay informed, connected, and empowered.
